Northeast Private Client Group
NEPC · The Next Chapter

Forty years of trust. Now make it seen.

You've built one of the most credentialed advisory firms in New Jersey. This is how we'd make sure the dentists, veterinarians, builders and families who need you can actually find you, and why they'll choose you when they do.

A private plan prepared for Northeast Private Client Group · November 2026
Prologue · What you've built

A firm that out-credentials the field.

Since 1986, Northeast Private Client Group has grown into a team of about forty people in Florham Park, advising business owners, medical and dental professionals and families on how to build and keep wealth across generations.

Most firms that market to dentists would trade a lot for what you already have: Forbes' #1 Best-in-State Financial Security Professional in New Jersey, a monthly column in Dental Economics, a Kiplinger byline, three published books with a fourth on the way, and a CIO who writes sharp market commentary every week or two.

The story is strong. What's missing is the system that tells it, every week, in every channel, cleared with compliance and measured.

What we heard

Everything you asked for, in one plan.

From our conversation: you want more from marketing than posts. You want a partner that plans ahead, works inside your compliance process and puts your people front and center. Here's where each piece lives in this plan.

01
Chapter one · How you're found today

Known by name. Invisible by need.

People who already know Mark Murphy or Ben Bush find you. Most of your team is much harder to find: Christopher Ransom's name ranks eighth, and we found no rankings at all for searches on Adam Schlossberg, Chris Pike, Chris Viola or your other advisors. People searching for what you do, like a financial advisor for dentists, or a wealth manager in Morris County or many other places, don't. Neither do the AI assistants they increasingly ask instead.

137Google searches your site ranks for. The 12 in the top ten are almost all your firm's or your people's names, plus your Forbes award.
0rankings for dentist, veterinarian, contractor, retirement or estate planning searches.
0 of 6AI answers (ChatGPT and Google AI Mode) that named NEPC for dentist or Florham Park advisor questions.
2Google reviews on your business listing, which is set up only as "Financial planner".
Name confusion

A different "Northeast Private Client Group", a Connecticut real estate firm, shows up for your own name, and its Google listing has 39 reviews to your 2. Your logo also reads "Northeast Sequoia" while most places say Northeast Private Client Group.

Your best writing is hidden

Thinking Out Loud lives only as PDFs. Google and AI tools barely read them, nobody can subscribe, and the notes never reach LinkedIn or email.

An old, crowded site

The archive shows about 855 web addresses, about 655 of them old resource-center articles, plus numbered copies of the same pages (for example "women-and-financial-strategies-2", "-3" and "-4"). None of the 10 pages we checked had a search description, three had no main headline, and the code doesn't tell Google who your advisors are, where your office is or what kind of firm you are.

Out-of-date signals

In June the homepage still featured 2020–2023 outlooks and called the podcast "Top 40" though it stopped in October 2024. YouTube has 91 subscribers (as of November).

Effort without reach

LinkedIn is active, about a dozen posts in two weeks with 2,129 followers, but posts get 10–32 reactions and lean more on office life and events than on the expertise people would follow you for.

No way in

There's no email signup and no page for dentists, vets or contractors. Interest has nowhere to go.

A thin contact page

One short form (name, email, message), a phone number, an email address and a fax number. There's no way to book a meeting, choose an advisor or topic, subscribe to Thinking Out Loud or request a guide, and the Florham Park address is still labeled "Roseland Office."

The idea

Built to last. Built to be found.

One team running your website, search, social, video, email and PR as one system. Every piece is planned a month ahead, cleared with compliance, published on time and tracked to real conversations.

02
Chapter two · Compliance

Corporate approves every page. We plan for it.

Because securities are offered through Park Avenue Securities, your website, posts, mass emails and videos are retail communications under FINRA Rule 2210. A principal has to approve them before they go out, and they have to be archived.

Most agencies treat that as a reason things are slow. We treat it as the schedule. Content is drafted a month ahead, submitted in organized batches, and nothing goes live without an approval number on file.

What changes for your team:

  • One monthly compliance packet instead of a stream of one-offs
  • Language written to pass the first time: no promises, no performance claims, the right disclosures
  • Every approval number and expiry date tracked, with a reminder before anything expires
  • Everything published through the archiving tools PAS requires
  • Live replies and comments handled under your supervision rules

Plan

Monthly calendar agreed with your marketing team.

Draft

We write, design and edit. Advisors review their own words.

Submit

Batched packet to Guardian / PAS review.

Approve

Approval number and expiry logged in the portal.

Publish

Scheduled through the approved channels.

Archive

Final versions kept, expiries flagged ahead of time.

To confirm with your team: which social and email tools PAS requires for supervision and archiving, and the typical review turnaround.

03
Chapter three · The new website

A website that works like your best advisor.

A new WordPress site, built by us, hosted and watched by us, with DNS in your name. Organized around the people you serve, not just the services you sell.

Every page has one job, one clear headline, its own search description and the right code so Google and AI assistants know who you are, who each advisor is and where you are. It's fast without heavy sliders and add-ons, accessible, and every page carries its disclosure and approval number.

We'd clear out the hundreds of stale archive pages, merge the duplicates, and redirect every old address so nothing that ranks today is lost.

Every advisor, their own story

A page that makes people want to meet them.

Not a headshot and a list of letters. Each advisor gets a page that tells their story: how they got here, who they help, what they've written, a short video from the shoot day, their awards with the right disclosures, and a BrokerCheck link. The code names them as a person Google and AI assistants can recognize and cite.

See the sample: Mark B. Murphy's advisor page.

Built like a library

Every page links to the right places.

  • Audience pages link to the services, guides and advisors that fit them
  • Every guide links to the advisor who wrote it, related guides and a next step
  • Advisor pages link to their articles, books, events and BrokerCheck
  • Thinking Out Loud and columns link into the library topics they cover
  • Out to trusted sources: Dental Economics, Kiplinger, Forbes, FINRA
  • Breadcrumbs, related reading and a clear path to a conversation on every page

A site connected this way is easier for people to explore and easier for Google and AI assistants to understand, trust and cite.

Every page, optimized

Chapter four · The learning library

Teach first. Get chosen later.

Most people read before they reach out, especially before they choose someone to help with their money. We'd build a free education library on your site: plain-English guides, answers and checklists for each audience, written with your advisors, approved by compliance and kept up to date.

Most dentists spend thirty years building a practice and about thirty minutes planning how to leave it. The questions that matter start about ten years out: → Who is the likely buyer: an associate, a partner or a DSO? → What is the practice worth today, and what moves that number? → How does the sale fit the rest of your plan: taxes, income, family? I wrote about this in my Dental Economics column this month. Happy to send it to anyone who wants it.Opinions are subject to change and are not investment advice. Chapter six · On camera

Your advisors, every week.

People choose an advisor they feel they already know. Video does that faster than anything else, and your team wants to be on camera.

Weekly video is very doable. One well-planned shoot day, with each advisor covering 7 to 10 or more topics, can feed a full quarter of posts. The details depend on who wants to be on camera, your office and how compliance reviews video, so we'd build the plan with you.

Rotating

Ask an Advisor

A different advisor each month.

A small video setup in a wood-paneled office
Before · Plan the topics

We pick 7 to 10 or more topics per advisor with your team, the questions clients actually ask, and clear outlines with compliance before anyone sits down.

Shoot day

One day at your office. Each advisor records their topics: full answers, short takes and some candid footage of the team at work.

After · A quarter of content

The footage becomes weekly clips, shorts, quote cards and library videos, scheduled out over a quarter or longer. Ten topics can become 30 or more pieces. Then we plan the next shoot.

We plan and manage every shoot day. The videographer and video editing are additional, quoted once we know how many advisors, topics and formats you want.

To work out together

What we need to know

  1. Who wants to be on camera, and how much time can each person give a month?
  2. Is there an office space we can set up in, or a room we can use on shoot days?
  3. How does PAS review video today, and how long does it take?
  4. Is there footage to reuse: the podcast's 64 episodes, webinars, event talks?
  5. Which channels matter most: LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook or Mark's Instagram?
  6. How often should we shoot: once a quarter, twice a year, or more as it grows?
07
Chapter seven · Email

The right note to the right inbox.

Separate tracks for clients, dentists, veterinarians, construction owners and business owners, plus invitations for every event you host.

Monthly market notes, audience newsletters, event invites and follow-ups, and Mark's book. All approved in the monthly packet and all on the marketing calendar.

Bought lists, done right

Buying lists of dentists, veterinarians and contractors can work if it's handled carefully. We verify and clean every list before it's used, send from a separate, warmed-up domain in small batches so your main address stays protected, honor opt-outs right away under CAN-SPAM, and run every send through compliance like any other retail communication. Alongside it, we grow the list you own:

  • The NJDA Annual Convention, May 20–21, 2027, plus county dental societies and study clubs
  • Vet Together and Smile Together, which you already attend, plus state veterinary association events
  • Guides from your learning library, signed books and webinars that people sign up for
  • Referral partners: dental CPAs, practice brokers, attorneys
08
Chapter eight · Targeted ads

Paid, but precise.

No blanket ads. We'd run small, tightly targeted campaigns that reach the right people at the moment they're looking, and send each one to the guide or page that answers their question. We'd set the budget together, start small, measure everything and scale only what starts real conversations.

Google Ads

Search, by need and by place

High-intent searches like "financial advisor for dentists," "selling a dental practice," "veterinary practice valuation" and "wealth manager Morris County." Targeted to the towns, counties and states you serve, with a long negative-keyword list so you don't pay for job seekers or do-it-yourselfers. Retargeting brings back people who read your guides.

ChatGPT Ads · pilot, pending approval

Where people now ask first

OpenAI now runs ads inside ChatGPT, targeted by state, city or ZIP. People increasingly ask AI about selling a practice or planning retirement, not just Google. We'd propose a small pilot there.

Contingent on approval: the pilot only runs if OpenAI accepts Northeast Private Client Group as an eligible advertiser under its ad policies for financial services, and PAS compliance approves the ads and landing pages. If either says no, the budget goes to Google instead.

Who we'd target
  • Dentists and orthodontistsBuying, selling, partner buy-ins, DSO offers
  • Veterinary practice ownersValuation, corporate offers, succession
  • Construction business ownersSuccession, buy-sell, key people
  • Families near your officeRetirement income, estate planning
How we keep it tight
  • Every ad and landing page cleared by compliance
  • Weekly search-term review and new negatives
  • Small daily caps until a campaign proves itself
  • Separate campaigns per audience, so spend is easy to read
What we measure
  • Calls and contact forms
  • Guide downloads and email signups
  • Event and webinar registrations
  • Cost per conversation, in your monthly report

Ad management and budget: to be decided together. Ads are an add-on to the monthly plans. We'd suggest a short test period per audience, then move money to what works.

09
Chapter nine · Google reviews

Two reviews isn't your reputation.

Your Google listing shows 2 reviews. The Connecticut firm with a similar name shows 39. Reviews are one of the first things people check before they call, and they help decide who shows up in Google's map results. We'd build a steady, compliant way for current and future clients to share their experience.

First, the rules

Asking clients for reviews, and how a firm shares them, falls under SEC and FINRA advertising rules, and PAS may have its own policy. We'd confirm PAS's policy first and build every step inside it.

01 · Fix the listing

Right categories, hours, services, photos and a link to the new site. The same name and address everywhere online.

02 · Ask everyone the same way

One simple request with a direct link after natural moments: a plan delivered, an annual review, an event. Every client gets it, with no incentives and no filtering.

03 · Build it into onboarding

New clients get the same request at a set check-in, and a small card with a QR code sits at the front desk.

04 · Reply and track

Every review gets a compliance-approved reply that never confirms someone is a client. Count, rating and reply time show in your monthly report.

Chapter ten · PR & speaking

Quoted. Published. On stage.

A PR program for each partner: press releases for awards, hires and launches, expert quotes placed with journalists who cover wealth, dental and small business, columns kept on schedule, and a speaking pipeline that puts your partners on national stages in dentistry, orthodontics, veterinary medicine and construction.

Press releases

Every win, announced

Speaking

Bylines & columns

Your name in the places your clients read.

Mark already writes for Dental Economics and Kiplinger. We'd extend that to every partner: earned guest articles in the publications each audience trusts, plus paid columns where the reach is worth it. Every piece goes through compliance first, links back to your learning library and is tracked in the portal.

Your partners, at the podium.

The rooms where your best clients learn are the national conferences for their profession. Chapter eleven · Mark's new book

A launch that builds the firm.

A new book is the best reason all year for people to hear from you. We'd plan it as a 90-day campaign that grows your list and your pipeline, and work alongside any publisher team or publicist Mark already has. The first step is learning what's already in motion.

A new navy hardcover book on a walnut desk
Before we plan the launch

What's already in the works?

  1. What's the title, who is the publisher, and when is it due out?
  2. Does Mark already have a book publicist or a publisher marketing package? What does it cover?
  3. What's done so far: cover, pre-orders, endorsements, launch events, media?
  4. Who is the book for, and what should a reader do after finishing it?
  5. How does compliance want to handle book promotion and signed-copy offers?
  6. Is there a budget for bulk copies, events or paid promotion?

Every plan runs on the same team, the same compliance workflow and your UnifiedIQ portal. Choose how much of the plan you want us to run, and add more as it grows.

Foundation
$4,750/month

Everything except social media and PR.

  • Website hosting, security and monitoring
  • SEO, AI search and the learning library
  • Content engine: Thinking Out Loud and columns, repurposed
  • Video: topic planning and shoot-day management
  • Email marketing by audience
  • Google reviews program
  • Brand guide
  • Compliance workflow, portal and monthly reporting
Growth
$6,800/month

Everything in Foundation, plus social media.

  • Everything in Foundation
  • LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram, 2–3 posts a week
  • Advisor posts for each partner's own profile
  • Community management and monthly social reporting
Everything in this plan
Complete
$9,500/month

Everything in Growth, plus PR and speaking.

  • Everything in Growth
  • PR: press releases, expert quotes and media
  • Bylines, guest articles and columns
  • Speaking pipeline: proposals, speaker kits, follow-up
  • Mark's book launch campaign
New website
$7,500 one time

Design and build of the new WordPress site, including audience and service pages, advisor story pages, the learning library structure, migration of what's worth keeping, and redirects for every old address.

All plans are a 12-month commitment. Google Ads and ChatGPT Ads management is additional and to be decided, and ad budgets are paid directly to those platforms. Videographer and video editing are additional and quoted once the shoot plan is set. Final scope is confirmed in the agreement.

Why Unified Marketing

One team. Every channel.

Since 2006 we've helped hundreds of businesses grow. We build and host websites, run SEO and AI search, social, video, email and PR, and we built the portal we run it all on.

You'd have one team that knows your firm, your audiences and your compliance process, instead of separate vendors for the website, social and PR, and you'd see every piece of work in one place.

Next step

Let's start the next chapter.

The first step: we'll walk your team through this plan and shape it together.
